Feels Like Home // Chantal Kreviazuk

Still can’t believe I saw/met her AND that she sang just a few inches from my face.

She did a last minute performance at a bar (the bar randomly contacted local Chantal fans on MySpace - lol yeah) and I went ahead and attended said performance by myself in a part of Downtown Tampa that I have never been in. Eek! Chantal performed a 4-song set, grabbed a drink at the bar and then talked to all of us individually. Well, she spoke to the ones who were brave enough to approach her. Some time after approaching her [note: I was very tipsy] I started talking about how I couldn’t comfortably hit “In This Life“‘s high note. (This was pre-musical theatre classes.) She was leaning close to hear me as the bar was playing music loudly, of course, and then she replies, “Oh! *sings* you can ru-U-U-un from me” RIGHT IN MY FACE, PEOPLE. I had to take a moment to let what just happened sink in, and eventually yelled, “YES. GAH! That was… I can’t do THAT *points to her face*” Ridiculous. I can’t recall the tips she gave me but the entire experience was lovely.
