While listening to Merrily We Roll Along in the car today, I had a thought… if adapted into a film, I personally wouldn’t want the score’s sound to change at all. And I think the music would work best with a motion capture adaptation, a la Fantastic Mr. Fox. With exactly that film’s kind of styling, which is to say Wes Anderson-ish more or less.
